Los publicistas somos seres unicos, la mayoria son ( o somos) seres muy creativos y de personalidades muy "open mind" como dicen los gringos, muy modernos e investigadores de las tendencias regionales e internacionales...pero cuando se trata de nuestro pais somos seres obsoltetos, retrogrados, manipuladores, olvidadizos y poco..pero muy poco fieles a nuestra tierra. Quieren ejemplos?...bueno en los 80's se dio por moda tratar que Caracas pareciera NY o Madrid...Paris o Argentina (nunca Venezuela..ojo), recuerdo un comercial bellamente y espectacularmente producido de 35mm de Banco Union o Visa Banco Union, que fue muy comentado, la vaina parecia la 5ta avenida. En nuestros comerciales y fotografias, manipulamos la luz para que pierda este "son caribeño" y se vea mas Europeo o Argentino..sabes??...esa luz baja en chroma...si...si..esa luz por la que se mueren millones de Europeos por venir a conocer y otros millones tratan de imitar o imaginar. Nuestros modelos son referencia de GAP, Banana o Abercrombie & Fitch. Y si queremos diseñar un interior debe parecer Pottery Barns o Restoration Hardware. Ok..lo se...los que me conocen diran..y a este carajo que le pico? si no encuentra un momento pa huir a Usa o Europa pa comprarse sus vainas??? y sus referencias son exactamente iguales a las que critica?..pues no estoy escapando de "nuestra" realidad ni estoy diciendo que soy inocente, solo que se nos esta pasando un poco la manito en la actualidad..como?..pues bien...existe una nueva ley impuesta por el gobierno que para bien o para mal de quienes amen u odien al presidente Chavez, parecia brindar una serie de oportunidades a nuestro mercado...de cine..de publicidad...de television...etc...por encima parecia que la mal citada "industria" o " el medio" (odio mas esta ultima manera de refererirnos a nuestra profesion) estaria beneficiada al fin !!!...ya los amigos que estaban en sus casas haciendo otras actividades motivado por la falta de chamba publicitaria o cine estarian de vuelta...los amigos que se fueron a dominicana, panama y el salvador entre otros...regresarian de nuevo a trabajar y VEnezuela volveria a ser (como lo fue con gran orgullo) uno de los mejores representantes de nuestra area..no solo en talento sino en equipos y tecnologia...pero aqui es que viene mi critica..muchos "amigos" y conocidos de la " industria" se han dado a la tarea de hacer trampas y buscar como traer a directores, fotografos y empresas "importadas" y forzando su legalidad, muchos han intentado forzar la barra y el numero de directores extranjeros han aumentado su visita a nuestro pais...NO les parece pendejo que cuando al fin podemos retomar nuestro trabajo comencemos a regalarlo???..les parece gracioso que luego de que tanta gente aposto a nuestro pais ahora no son tomados en cuenta y son de nuevo arrinconados como chamos castigados??..peor aun..con el trabajo que hay !!!!...me parede estupido que nadie (bueno yo la estoy levantando) levante la voz para decir que somos unos pendejos...que cuando debemos apoyar a nuestro mercado le somos infieles...Como creen que los mexicanos, argentinbos, chilenos y colombianos han levantado sus mercados??...pues defendiendo lo suyo..levantando murallas y buscando una manera propia de hacer sus cosas y buscando su identidad..una identidad propia...donde el Avila es mas lindo que cualquier otro cerro..y nuestras playas son mas azules y mas ricasque cualquiera en el caribe..donde en los comerciales se hable como aqui hablamos y no sea barato ni balurdo...donde veamos un negro o un venezolano puro siendo principal de un comercial y que estos no sean obreros ni empleados de segunda... Por eso es que digo..que si la vino tinto hubiera ido al mundial..de seguro los publicistas fueran TODOS por Brasil o Argentina...
